During the financial crisis, between unemployment and odd jobs, you live one day at a time. In an arid part of the Alentejo landscape, André, 12 years old, lives with his father, Ricardo, who runs an illegal business of water collection holes. Growing up away from school, friends and family, André is limited to following his father or wandering around the eco-resort of the area. Sandra, 30, settles down next to André's house. She does not know where she is going and postpones the future while trying to survive in the present.
